About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician supports the manufacture of VMRD diagnostic products by performing laboratory production processes, preparing reagents, maintaining quality standards, documenting work accurately, and operating laboratory equipment in accordance with established procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous laboratory or manufacturing experience, preferably in biotechnology, diagnostics, microbiology, or a related field, is preferred.
  • Experience following GMP, GLP, ISO, or other regulated quality systems is preferred.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in biology, microbiology, biotechnology, or a related scientific field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare laboratory reagents and buffers.
  • Package and label finished products.
  • Manufacture ELISA kits, including plate coating and optimization.
  • Perform compounding activities, including buffer preparation, sterile filtration, dilutions, pooling, and aliquoting.
  • Perform cell, viral, bacterial, and other microorganism culture techniques.
  • Perform protein purification using methods such as salt precipitation, ion exchange chromatography, size exclusion chromatography, and affinity chromatography.
  • Evaluate proteins using BCA assays, spectrophotometric analysis, and other analytical techniques.
  • Perform protein conjugation using methods such as FITC and HRP labeling.
  • Conduct and interpret laboratory assays, including IFA, AGID, ELISA, and RID.
  • Perform in-process quality control testing and monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and current production and laboratory records.
  • Calibrate, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Assist with the development, revision, and maintenance of SOPs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
