About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Manufacturing IT Support Technician to join our team in Hammond, IN. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing IT systems. You will be the go-to person for troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing our technology infrastructure, all while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with manufacturing software and systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for manufacturing IT systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance to ensure optimal operation of manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of new IT equipment and software.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and resolve IT-related issues promptly.
  • Document and maintain records of IT support requests and resolutions.
  • Train staff on new technologies and best practices for IT usage in the manufacturing environment.
  • Participate in ongoing IT projects to improve system efficiency and productivity.
