The intern will be tasked with providing problem-solving expertise to enhance product quality and performance. During the internship, the candidate will be assigned a project that is expected to be completed within the tenure of the internship or co-op assignment. This role includes the opportunity to work closely with a mentor from the Operations team. The ideal candidate should be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field. The applicant must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, exhibit excellent problem-solving and data analysis abilities, and demonstrate creativity and self-motivation. The ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment is also essential for this position.

Requirements

Undergraduate or graduate student working towards their degree in one of the following areas: Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Great problem solving and data analysis skills
Creative, self-driven, and able to work with a team.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

Lead continuous improvement activities in the production of thermoplastic monofilaments for Paper Machine Clothing (PMC) applications.
Provide problem solving expertise to find solutions
Assigned to a project that can be completed during the internship / co-op assignment
Work with a mentor from the Operations team
