RedGuard is currently seeking a Manufacturing Intern. This position will work closely with the Production Manager and Floor Supervisors providing support to the Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and will have a strong interest in manufacturing, construction, and/or project management.
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project.
- Works well with others in a team environment.
- Possesses solid written and verbal communication skills and practices active listening.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, curious, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
- Interest in Manufacturing, Construction, or Project Management.
Responsibilities
- Performs time studies to assess the duration and efficiency of various production tasks.
- Tracks and records downtime across departments, identifying causes and frequency for root cause analysis (RC/CA).
- Reviews existing work instructions for accuracy and updates; creates new documentation as needed.
- Assists in tracking and communicating daily and weekly performance metrics.
- Reviews and edits all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other shop floor standard work documentation.
- Supports lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
