About The Position

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Manufacturing Expeditor – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Commerce, CA. The Manufacturing Expeditor serves as the primary customer interface of the Customer Support (CS) section, as well as the Engineering Asset Management (EAM) department, executing recall and disbursement of Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) with the end user and the calibration labs. Working daily with internal customers, strategic organizational partners, external vendors/suppliers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), the Manufacturing Expeditor ensures equipment is managed and transported safely, in the most effective manner possible, between customers/end-users and metrology services activities. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience (for Level 2)
  • No clearance required to start (for Level 2)
  • Ability to frequently move and position/reposition objects weighing up to 50lbs (for Level 2)
  • Military Logistics, Maintenance Management or Aerospace industry inventory and/or Supply Support experience required, e.g. warehousing, stockroom, customer service support (for Level 2)
  • Valid California State Driver’s License; Class C for driving NG vehicles (for Level 2)
  • Willingness to change physical work locations based on operational need (for Level 2)
  • Candidate is expected to train for 2-weeks at NG Space Park, Redondo Beach, CA for initial training and integration prior to starting work at Commerce (for Level 2)
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree (for Level 3)
  • No clearance required to start (for Level 3)
  • Current/Active SCI Clearance (for Level 3)
  • Metrology and/or Calibration (M&TE) experience (for Level 3)
  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience (for Level 3)
  • Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) classification codes: USMC-0431 or 0411 series; USAAF-2S0 or SC0 series, USA 92 or 91 series (for Level 3)

Responsibilities

  • Expediting, routing, and dispatching test equipment, materials and ancillary components in support of specified Areas of Operation within their purview
  • Responsible for test equipment accountability, control, pick-up and delivery to and from end-users (customers)
  • Consistent communication with customers for status and recall of test equipment and ancillary components
  • Coordination of pick-up/deliveries and all applicable processing of and database updates in the Test Equipment Asset Management and Metrology System (TEAMMS), Calibration Management System
  • Accountable for reviewing and managing workload based on daily Coordinator Performance Reports, ensuring performance metrics remain within specific thresholds
  • Maintain excellent database integrity via inventory reconciliation of equipment between TEAMMS database, Pool/Stock Inventory and customer Areas of Operation
  • Other duties as assigned
