About The Position
Gromax is seeking a manufacturing professional who understands how precision parts, tooling, and dies are made and can help determine the best manufacturing approach for customer projects. Whether your background is in Tool & Die, CNC Machining, Manufacturing Engineering, Estimating, or Production Planning, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact while working on highly diverse projects. Requirements
- Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills
- Understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and precision manufacturing
- Knowledge of machining processes including milling, turning, grinding, and Wire EDM
- Experience with tooling, dies, fixtures, gauges, or precision machined components
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and manufacturing documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Progressive die or metal stamping experience
- Estimating experience
- Production planning or scheduling experience
- SolidWorks or CAD experience
- CNC programming experience
- ERP/MRP system experience
Responsibilities
- Review customer drawings, CAD models, and RFQs
- Develop manufacturing plans and determine production methods
- Estimate labor, materials, machining, tooling, and outside processing costs
- Prepare customer quotations and manufacturing work orders
- Coordinate with vendors on materials and outside services
- Support production planning, scheduling, and job release activities
- Work closely with toolmakers, machinists, engineers, and leadership
- Identify manufacturing, quality, and tooling issues before production begins
- Help improve estimating accuracy and manufacturing processes
- Communicate with customers and vendors regarding technical requirements and delivery expectations
