The GPS (Global Propulsion Systems) Ergonomics Technical Specialist will serve as the Single Point of Contact connecting GM's Global Ergonomics team to GPS Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and GPS Manufacturing Operations (MO) teams worldwide. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you will provide ergonomic technical training, coaching, and support towards the implementation of the UAW-GM and Global GM Ergonomic process. You will drive innovation, jointly where required, to better identify and resolve ergonomic risk of injury within the GPS Manufacturing Operations. You will have a high level of autonomy being supported by the Sr. Manager, Global Ergonomics & Industrial Hygiene, Manufacturing Ergonomics Technical Fellow, and Workplace Ergonomic Manager to act as the subject matter expert in the field of ergonomics and lead the continuous improvement of ergonomics standardized work across GPS new and current programs — from virtual builds and tooling buyoffs all the way through Start of Regular Production (SORP) and current production. You will be the go-to expert, trainer, and problem-solver for a global community of New Program Ergonomists and plant ergonomic joint teams.
