About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring a Manufacturing Equipment Technician in Hillsboro, OR. The technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment. They will work closely with the factory management team to prioritize job tasks and collaborate with peers, supervisors, and the engineering team to understand root cause failures and improve equipment availability to meet production goals. The role involves working with vendors, field service, and technical representatives, and may require attending training. Documentation of all work performed is required. The position involves attending shift pass-down meetings and communicating daily activities. This is a factory position requiring cleanroom attire and work in a cleanroom environment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required, and exposure to hazardous processing materials is possible. This is a Full Time, Direct hire opportunity.

Requirements

Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military training required.
3 or more years’ experience in a high volume semiconductor environment performing maintenance on specific tool families (Thin Films CVD, Thin Films IMPLANT, Thin Films Sputter Deposition (PVD), Etch HDP).
Candidate must adhere to all company safety protocols.
Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration with others to make improvements through experimentation and drive toward standardized methods.
Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills required.
Solid workplace soft skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable navigating and operating computers.
Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities.
Hands-on participation and strong sense of ownership.
Ability to work under minimum supervision in a fast paced, high volume production environment.

Nice To Haves

Basic familiarity with MS Office programs is a plus.
Strong RF Troubleshooting experience is highly desired.
Experience conducting technical training is highly desired.
