About The Position

IMG Companies, a Division of Ichor Systems, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician, located in Livermore, CA. This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment in safe, optimal operating condition throughout the plant. The technician will communicate proper equipment care to production personnel, report irregularities to supervisors, and assist with new equipment installation. A key part of the role involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs using blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specifications. Basic computer skills are required for documenting repairs in the maintenance repair request program. The technician will also report needed machine parts to the maintenance crew leader and must follow all required safety procedures, including those related to Chemical Hazards, to ensure the safety of all employees.

Requirements

  • Possess good mechanical knowledge and abilities to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Understand DC and AC principles and components including motors.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EHS rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of shop tools, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Must be flexible and able to work individually and in a team-based environment with a positive attitude.
  • Able to work overtime as needed and be available for on-call work.
  • Able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to handle frequent bending, twisting, crouching, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • 1-2-year technical degree or any other related certifications or training
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry.
  • Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain production equipment in safe, optimal operating condition throughout the plant.
  • Communicate the proper care and maintenance of equipment to production personnel.
  • Report irregularities to department supervisor and the maintenance supervisor.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment with plant personnel on outside contractors.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment from blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specifications.
  • Document all repairs in the maintenance repair request program.
  • Report machine parts and items needed by/for other departments to maintenance crew leader.
  • Follows all required safety procedures such as: Chemical Hazards. Performs job in a manner that protects safety of all employees.
