About The Position

At Wolfspeed, the Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician performs corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance on semiconductor tools to improve and sustain equipment availability, reliability, and maintainability. The position supports a 24/7 operation in Durham, North Carolina, on a dedicated 12-hour shift. Night-shift opportunities are available. The role includes troubleshooting equipment problems, performing routine maintenance, using computerized maintenance management systems, handling gases and chemicals to replenish system resources, and communicating with support team members through proper escalation procedures. Additional duties or assignments may be designated by management.

Requirements

Associate degree in electrical engineering or military equivalent.
Manufacturing experience; semiconductor-industry experience is preferred.
Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Team-player mentality.
Flexibility in work schedule and ability to work overtime on short notice.
Lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment problems.
Perform preventative and routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning, calibration, and routine service.
Use computerized maintenance management systems for inventory control and work scheduling.
Handle gases and chemicals to replenish system resources.
Communicate with support team members by following proper escalation procedures.
Perform additional duties and assignments as designated by management.
