This position focuses on working with the Manufacturing Engineering Team to help drive the projects to completion. They would be expected to be fairly self sufficient and driven, but still report and consult with greater engineering team or engineering manager when decision points arrive, and Directions are not clear. This position will concentrate primarily on production customers; maintaining efficiencies in the manufacturing of customer product. Additional areas of focus may include but are not limited to: setup reduction, procedure generation, operator training, Inspection Software Development, tool design or selection. Other responsibilities may include; participation in production readiness activities and involvement in continuous improvement activities for current production jobs. An important aspect of this position is the hands on nature of this role. As improvements are identified/made, this individual may be delegated to implement and/or perform re-qualification of changes. Requirements

  • 2 years+ experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment.
  • Familiarity with Metal: Machining, Working, Drawing, Manufacturing, or general properties and characteristics of metals.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Strong use of computer systems (Excel, Internet).
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Experience with, or knowledge in Industrial Systems.
  • Experience with, or knowledge in Manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years’ experience in a medical device/component contract.
  • Manufacturing/Production environment
  • Technical degree in an engineering discipline or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Development and Maintenance of Preventive Maintenance Programs for Production Customers.
  • Procedural Documentation drafting and maintenance.
  • Drive Manufacturing/Production Team activities (such as Lean Siz-Sigma and Gemba) and report on metrics.
  • Quote and Write Proposal for Capital Equipment and projects.
  • Take part in Process Validation activities.
  • Update and release customer/internal procedures/documents.
  • Occasional Assignment of Manufacturing Engineering Projects regarding: Corrective Action, Preventive Action, Continuous Improvement, and Process Development.
