About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician plays a vital role in supporting our diverse assembly production team to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets are consistently met. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, great communication, and the ability to triage a wide variety of requests. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and 5 years of experience problem-solving in a manufacturing environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation such as part drawings, assembly specifications, work instructions, technical data sheets, and safety data sheets.
  • Experience with basic metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, and hard gaging.
  • Demonstrated software skills across a variety of program types including Microsoft Office, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, and project management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail and follow through.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to requests from production and engineering to resolve safety concerns, ensure quality, troubleshoot production issues, and improve efficiency.
  • Evaluating parts, processes, and tooling for issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Escalating problems to appropriate support departments based on investigation.
  • Communicating findings and status updates.
  • Developing, controlling, and maintaining a variety of manufacturing work instructions, and other supporting documentation materials.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
