About The Position

Prequel Solutions is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor for an established, fast-growing manufacturing company in the Cary, Illinois area. This is a hands-on engineering leadership position combining team supervision, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. The role is fully onsite, and candidates should live within a reasonable daily commuting distance.

Requirements

• Strong manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
• Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring engineers and technical teams.
• Hands-on Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Working knowledge of 2D CAD.

Nice To Haves

• 3D CAD experience.
• Engineering degree; equivalent practical experience is also considered.
• Background in discrete manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six manufacturing engineers.
• Oversee manufacturing engineering activities, project priorities, and technical support for production.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, process improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Lead hands-on engineering projects involving manufacturing processes, equipment, and production improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and other departments to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Support engineering documentation, CAD drawings, and process standardization.
