About The Position

This position is responsible for leading and managing the manufacturing engineering team to optimize production processes and ensure product quality objectives are met. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, change control, and engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong understanding of sensor components, manufacturing processes, and industry regulations.
  • Proficient in using engineering software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes that optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to streamline workflows and enhance overall manufacturing capabilities.
  • Lead the manufacturing engineering aspects of new product introductions, collaborating with engineering, change control, planning and production teams to ensure a smooth transition from design to production.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes and innovative technologies to enhance efficiency, increase throughput and reduce production costs.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, materials planning, and other relevant teams to address manufacturing challenges and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align manufacturing engineering activities with organizational goals.
  • Work with engineering leadership to assume and maintain the majority of sustainment engineering activities within manufacturing engineering team.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to ensure that manufacturing processes meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of manufacturing processes, procedures, and improvements.
  • Generate regular reports on manufacturing performance, efficiency gains, and cost savings, as required.
