As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager (L5) in Skunk Works®, you will play a critical role serving as the Leader accountable for the support multiple production programs in our portfolio. You will manage the day-to-day activity of a large production engineering team in support of multiple advanced manufacturing programs. You will have responsibility for production engineering life cycle deliverables from product design through manufacturing implementation. You will manage a team consisting of manufacturing engineers, test engineers, tooling engineers, manufacturing planners, project managements reps, and CAMs. You will support the setup of new and expanded facilities, associated capital assets and factory of the future aspects including manufacturing automation and digital transformation within the ADP program framework. You will support creation & implementation of Manufacturing Plan and associated processes / products across Production Engineering disciplines. You will identify organizational/operational gaps and be able to reach across the company resource base to secure solutions. You will shape processes in support of engineering to manufacturing digital thread. You will ensure the successful development of our team and position them for growth. You will develop strong leads that will own each discipline. You will ensure adherence to financial targets. You will represent the organization during customer events and audits. The Production Engineering disciplines include Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Test Engineering, Tool Engineering, Tool Design, and Manufacturing Planning. There will be an expectation to lead multiple disciplines as our team develops and grows. The ideal candidate for this position will be a strong leader that understands the nuances of motivating a team in a highly challenging manufacturing environment. This person will also have strong analytical thinking and business acumen skills, be highly collaborative, exhibit exceptional organizational skills, demonstrate proactive thinking, operate autonomously as appropriate, and produce superior work products under short deadlines.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
Technical Leadership experience in a Production Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering discipline
Proven experience with military/commercial aircraft
Active DoD Clearance with an Investigation within the last 5 years
Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

Experience with model-based design tools/methods including Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
Understanding of complex aerospace vehicle assembly structures, systems, and LO coatings
Program startup experience including Manufacturing/Assembly/Production processes
Proven ability to interface effectively with different levels of management and multiple disciplines
CAM / EVMS execution knowledge and experience
Ability to coordinate and influence across a broad range of stakeholders
Experience with high level (Director/VP) presentations and briefings
