About The Position

A Manufacturing Engineering Intern supports production by assisting with process improvements, troubleshooting equipment or workflow issues, and analyzing performance data in an automotive manufacturing environment. They help implement lean initiatives, update work instructions, and contribute to efficiency, quality, and cost reduction projects while gaining hands-on engineering experience.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen)
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel)
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards
