About The Position

This internship offers an opportunity to develop skills related to the aerospace industry, focusing on the maintenance and repair of complex parts. Interns will receive guidance and mentorship from Product Line Engineers, Quality Engineers, and other team members. The role involves assisting with continuous improvement projects, interpreting engineering drawings, providing technical input on assemblies, and designing tooling to enhance manufacturing floor efficiency and ergonomics. This is an on-site position.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering degree or similar
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hands-on experience through internships, academic projects, or laboratory work in a technical field of study is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with continuous improvement projects such as process procedures, documentation updates and implementation.
• Interpret engineering drawings.
• Provide technical input on mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Capability analysis on new product.
• Design tooling to help efficiency and ergonomics on the manufacturing floor.
