About The Position

The Engineering Intern assists in the documentation, development, support, assembly, and design of new or updated jigs, fixtures, machines, and processes. This role involves design/concept development, project management, communication, and documentation related to engineering projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist in or manage the design of fixtures, tooling, process, and equipment.
• Detail and annotate models and drawings to Marvin standards.
• Create electrical schematics/drawings to support internal builds and updates.
• Assist with management and planning for work with engineering or maintenance departments to ensure projects are meeting the budgetary and timeline constraints required.
• Work with Design Engineers and Project managers to ensure designs and detailing meet the requirements of the project.
• Communicate equipment, jig, process, and product changes proactively.
• Communicate with vendors to quote and procure components and equipment.
• Maintain all necessary documentation for projects including but not limited to detailed mechanical and electrical schematics, control system logic, associated manufacturing/process literature, and budgets.
• Set up and maintain file structures within Inventor vault.
• Organize and update a CEG Standard Parts Library.
• Develop and sustain a folder structure that is user friendly and intuitive.
• Download and convert purchased parts to functional iParts within Vault.
