Are you a student looking to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, and new product introduction? Bevco Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support documentation creation, pilot builds, data collection, and continuous improvement activities. This role offers valuable exposure to real-world engineering workflows while contributing directly to production success.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Exposure to engineering drawings, basic manufacturing concepts, or hands-on technical coursework preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Interest in manufacturing processes, engineering documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Curious, motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to ask questions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and shop floor teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing customer drawings, prints, and engineering documentation.
  • Help identify critical-to-quality (CTQ) features and translate requirements into manufacturing tasks.
  • Support engineering staff in evaluating manufacturability concerns.
  • Support the NPI team in verifying bill of materials (BOM) accuracy and preparing documentation for pilot builds.
  • Work with assembly technicians during pilot builds to observe and document process steps.
  • Assist in creating work instructions, checklists, and process documentation.
  • Help maintain project timelines and update status tracking as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating materials, tools, and resources for engineering builds and trials.
  • Document process findings, improvement opportunities, and test results.
  • Provide floor support during build validations and trials.
  • Assist with data collection related to production efficiency, quality, and cycle times.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities under engineer guidance.
