About The Position

Schneider Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Spring 2027 in our Mount Juliet location. This U.S. based position is part of the Customer Product Deployment (CPD) Team supporting Medium Voltage products. The intern will participate in 3F activities (Form, Fit, and Function evaluations) for new product introductions and product changes, conduct video time studies and process observations to identify improvement opportunities, develop and maintain labor standards, work instructions, and standardized work documentation, and assist with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) qualifications and validation activities. The role also involves supporting special projects and other assigned responsibilities. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
  • Interest in manufacturing operations.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, problem-solving, and process optimization.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and interacting with production associates.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to learn manufacturing processes, quality methodologies, and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to take initiative, demonstrate ownership, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Curious, data-driven, and motivated to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to work on-site at the manufacturing facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with time studies, process mapping, statistical analysis, Minitab, Power BI, AutoCAD, or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, APQP, or other quality tools.

Responsibilities
