About The Position

Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and recommend improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; CAD experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing projects on schedule.
  • Ability to provide regular progress updates and communicate project status effectively to mentors and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

Responsibilities

  • Lead validation and qualification activities for new equipment, molds, vision systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate engineering builds and sample evaluations to validate and qualify new methods, processes, and equipment.
  • Create, update, and release manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process records, and related SAP-controlled documents.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and fixtures to improve operational performance and product quality.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, and increased efficiency.
  • Evaluate and update manufacturing routings, cycle times, scrap factors, and master cycle sheets to ensure process accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement creative, data-driven solutions to resolve manufacturing challenges and prevent future issues.
  • Assist with integrating manufacturing equipment into the Entegris network and digital infrastructure.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and technical problem-solving.
  • Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to mentors and key stakeholders.
