About The Position
ITT Goulds Pumps is offering a unique co-op opportunity for candidates to gain firsthand experience in the design and manufacture of engineered-to-order, high-specification industrial pumps and monitoring equipment. Co-op candidates will receive guidance and mentorship from top mechanical engineering and design professionals. This position is for the Fall 2026 academic schedule, full-time, 40 hours per week, from August to December 2026, located in Seneca Falls, NY.
Requirements
- Working towards BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of engineering is preferred.
- Must be a Junior or Senior level student
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to Creo Pro-E preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and procure the necessary fixtures, equipment, or tools necessary for assembly operations.
- Perform and document root cause analysis.
- Participate in Gemba/morning market walks and act on escalations by implementing engineering solutions.
- Employ Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to increase manufacturing capacity, productivity, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Develop and maintain standard work instructions for the various production areas.
- Ability to read and create CAD models.
- Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize manufacturing processes.
