Requirements

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering required (for Manufacturing Engineer I).
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in engineering required (for Manufacturing Engineer II).
  • 6-9 years of relevant work experience in engineering required (for Manufacturing Engineer Sr).
  • 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in engineering required (for Manufacturing Engineer I).
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree in engineering or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required (for Manufacturing Engineer II & Sr).
  • 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in engineering preferred (for Manufacturing Engineer II & Sr).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required (for Manufacturing Engineer Sr).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (for Manufacturing Engineer II).
  • Basic CAD skills strongly preferred (for Manufacturing Engineer I).
  • CAD skills required (for Manufacturing Engineer II & Sr).
  • Basic understanding of Lean concepts preferred (for Manufacturing Engineer I).
  • Experience with Lean concepts (for Manufacturing Engineer II).
  • Strong Lean experience (for Manufacturing Engineer Sr).
  • General fluency in SAP (for Manufacturing Engineer II & Sr).

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience is a plus (for Manufacturing Engineer I).
  • Possess advanced experience in plant layout (for Manufacturing Engineer Sr).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement moderate complexity training initiatives to support manufacturing.
  • Identify, specify, and justify moderate complexity capital expenditures.
  • Investigate, purchase, and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Recognize, recommend and validate design and process changes to improve manufacturability.
  • Implement changes with product design engineering.
  • Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, department layout and machinery efficiency.
  • Analyze and make recommendations using summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning.
  • Lead and support safety, 5S, and Lean initiatives.
  • Complete internal Lean Leader certification.
  • Provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports.
  • Manage moderately complex team projects involving individuals from various departments to ensure integration between manufacturing, sales, finance, marketing and product engineering.
  • Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
  • Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.
