We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support our metal manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys both technical drawing (drafting) and hands-on process improvement. You will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to translate designs into efficient, manufacturable processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AUTOCAD or similar)
  • Basic understanding of metal manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, welding, forming, fabrication)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Familiarity with GD&T is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both engineering and production teams

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to ERP/MRP systems
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience working in a shop floor or production environment
  • Basic knowledge of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing constraints

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software
  • Convert engineering concepts and customer requirements into manufacturable designs
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Assist in designing tooling, fixtures, and jigs to support production
  • Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality
  • Collaborate with shop floor teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues in real time
  • Ensure drawings and processes comply with company standards and industry specifications
  • Participate in prototype builds, testing, and validation of new products
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including revisions and version control
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues
