About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in optimizing and enhancing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This position focuses on designing, implementing, and refining manufacturing systems, including CNC programming and machining operations, to support new product introductions and ongoing production demands. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop process layouts, improve injection molding techniques, and apply statistical process control methods to maintain consistent product standards. By leveraging technical expertise and innovative problem-solving skills, the Manufacturing Engineer will drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce costs, increase throughput, and minimize waste. Ultimately, this role ensures that manufacturing operations align with business goals and customer requirements while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with CNC programming and operation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining and injection molding.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • CNC programming skills daily to develop and refine machining operations that meet precise specifications.
  • Manufacturing engineering expertise is applied to design efficient process layouts and optimize injection molding parameters, ensuring smooth production flow.
  • Statistical process control skills are essential for monitoring process stability and driving quality improvements through data analysis.
  • Collaboration and communication skills enable effective teamwork with design, quality, and production departments to resolve issues and implement new product introductions.
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement skills are leveraged to identify inefficiencies and implement lean manufacturing techniques that enhance overall operational performance.

  • Experience with new product introduction (NPI) processes in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and optimize CNC machining processes to improve production efficiency and product quality.
  • Design and implement manufacturing process plans and layouts that support new product introductions and existing production lines.
  • Collaborate with product development and quality teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Apply statistical process control techniques to monitor and control manufacturing processes, ensuring consistent quality output.
  • Manage and improve injection molding operations, including tooling design and process parameter optimization.
  • Conduct time studies and capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Document manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and process changes to maintain compliance and knowledge sharing.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production data and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
