About The Position
The Manufacturing Engineer will use CAD/CAM technology to address complex manufacturing challenges in a precision manufacturing environment. The role focuses on developing CNC programs and machining processes, creating 3D models, and developing tooling and fixturing solutions. The position is onsite in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of engineering experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and machining process development.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, machining strategies, and tooling optimization.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and complex manufacturing requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CREO software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC machining processes for complex mechanical components.
- Create 3D models and CAD/CAM programs, using simulation software to support efficient, accurate, and cost-effective manufacturing.
- Review product designs and specifications for manufacturability, quality, and compliance with customer requirements.
- Partner with machining teams to develop tooling and fixturing solutions that support production goals and project timelines.
- Support customer quoting activities through process planning and manufacturing expertise.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, quality, and operational performance.
