About The Position

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical expertise to design, develop, and deploy automated End-of-Line (EOL) testing systems for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) modules. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with high-voltage battery modules, automated test fixtures, BMS validation, and manufacturing process optimization in EV or battery manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience working with high-voltage battery modules or power electronics.
  • 2+ years of experience in EV/BESS battery module assembly, automated test fixtures, or EOL testing.
  • Strong knowledge of 4-wire Kelvin resistance measurements.
  • Hands-on experience with CAN, CANalyzer, CAN FD, I2C, and MODBUS communication.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor and AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
  • Experience with DMMs, ACIR/DCIR testing, and battery validation equipment.
  • Knowledge of lithium-ion battery safety procedures and manufacturing quality standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automated EOL test fixtures for BESS battery modules.
  • Create mechanical fixtures using pneumatic/mechanical actuation, pogo pins, and blind-mate connectors.
  • Develop electrical schematics for low-voltage sensing and medium-voltage charging/discharging circuits (48V–150V DC).
  • Integrate test equipment including DMMs, ACIR/DCIR testers, thermal cameras, smoke detectors, and isolation monitoring devices.
  • Program and validate BMS communication using CAN, CAN FD, I2C, and MODBUS protocols.
  • Perform Gauge R&R studies to ensure accurate and repeatable test measurements.
  • Implement barcode-based traceability for module testing and manufacturing data.
  • Ensure compliance with UN 38.3, UL 1973, and IEC 62619 battery safety standards.
  • Optimize production test cycle times through automation and parallel testing strategies.
  • Troubleshoot electromechanical failures and identify manufacturing or test equipment issues.
