In this role, you will work directly with sophisticated electromechanical systems, partnering with technicians, engineers, and operations teams to improve manufacturability, drive quality, solve production issues, and continuously enhance factory performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, or a similar role supporting complex electromechanical products.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, integration, or testing of complex electromechanical products.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing documentation, BOMs, work instructions, and engineering change processes.
  • Experience working within ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis tools and corrective action methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience supporting the manufacture of complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience in semiconductor capital equipment, vacuum systems, automation equipment, precision machinery, scientific instrumentation, or other highly engineered products.
  • Experience leading cross-functional root cause investigations and corrective action initiatives.
  • Track record of improving quality, yield, throughput, efficiency, or manufacturing performance.
  • Experience with PFMEA, control plans, process controls, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom environments, SAP, and engineering change control processes.
  • Ability to independently lead complex manufacturing and quality investigations.
  • Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Experience influencing technical decisions through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, CAPA systems, statistical analysis, process capability studies, and manufacturing process controls.
  • Ability to identify systemic manufacturing issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Experience mentoring technicians and less experienced engineers.
  • Strong understanding of product configuration management and engineering change implementation.
  • Ability to drive improvements in quality, productivity, manufacturability, and factory performance.
  • Confidence to challenge assumptions, advocate for manufacturing requirements, and influence engineering decisions when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on engineering support for the assembly, integration, testing, and production of advanced semiconductor equipment.
  • Serve as a key technical resource supporting production quality, reliability, schedule attainment, and operational performance.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing technicians and operations teams to troubleshoot build and test issues.
  • Lead resolution of recurring and complex manufacturing challenges through structured investigation and corrective action implementation.
  • Investigate manufacturing, quality, and reliability issues using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and FMEA.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions that improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
  • Analyze engineering drawings, bills of material, schematics, test data, and manufacturing documentation to resolve product and process issues.
  • Drive cross-functional problem solving involving Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Service teams.
  • Proactively engage Design Engineering to address manufacturability challenges and recurring production issues.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, assembly procedures, and production documentation.
  • Support engineering change implementation and configuration-controlled manufacturing processes.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, productivity, yield, and repeatability.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving throughput, increasing reliability, and lowering manufacturing costs.
  • Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and drive measurable business improvements.
  • Partner with Design Engineering to improve manufacturability, serviceability, assembly efficiency, and overall product quality.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions that drive alignment, accountability, and successful execution.
  • Advocate for manufacturing requirements and influence decisions that improve factory performance and customer outcomes.
