The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality production. The individual in this role applies expertise in manufacturing methods and related technical disciplines to solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement. Working independently, this individual plans, designs, and enhances processes by leveraging knowledge of product design, materials, tooling, equipment, assembly practices, and quality standards. They analyze workforce use, space needs, and process flow to create optimized layouts that improve throughput and reduce waste. The role also defines required equipment, tools, and processes and may lead project steps while supporting less experienced colleagues. This role requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in its job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. The individual will solve complex problems, work independently with minimal guidance, and may lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for on-going activities or objectives. They will also act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and consistently exercise discretion and judgment.
