About The Position

Drive the evolution of board manufacturing through creative problem solving, process innovation and hands-on engineering. This role partners closely with design and production teams to improve efficiency, quality and durability while helping build the next generation of boards.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or similar technical Bachelor’s degree or 5-10 years technical working experience
  • Adept use of CAD modeling
  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools especially Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent hands-on skills

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex process issues
  • Diagnose problems and identify short and long-term solutions
  • Develop and implement methods to systematically evaluate and analyze manufacturing processes/equipment issues and data from failures and creating and implementing recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Work with designers and manufacturing managers to develop a cost-effective and functional production process
  • Consult with merchandising team on manufacturability of new designs. Offer suggestions and guidance which will benefit all parties mutually
  • Research build and/or purchase new manufacturing equipment aimed at process improvement.
  • Coordinate the verification process for all new tooling
  • Coordinate mold maintenance program with the help of the tool fabricator
