About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will develop, recommend, and troubleshoot tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes to ensure new product launch success. This role involves defining and implementing cost savings and process improvements.

Requirements

High School Diploma
2-year Technical/engineering degree (BS in Engineering preferred, experience can substitute for degree)
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
MS Office (including Word and Excel)

Nice To Haves

Experience in Tool & Die maintenance
CNC programming
Elumatic experience
MS Projects experience

Responsibilities

Prepares work to be cost estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrications, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Designs, recommends, and advises on manufacturing tools, fixtures, and fabrication equipment, including repair and build.
Performs light design for stamping dies, locating fixtures, and machining fixtures.
Provides troubleshooting of metal forming operations, including stamping, welding, and press brake.
Creates and maintains inspection drawings of parts using AutoCAD and Inventor.
Creates and maintains Process Inspection Boards.
Develops manufacturing processes and improvements.
Assures product quality by developing robust processes, inspection methods, and tooling.
Contributes to quoting of new work through analyzing previous performance and developing process workflows.
Launches new programs and assists with creating tooling, machining trials, and improvements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
