Requirements

Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Or Master's degree with experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Or JD/PhD 6+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering in lieu of degree
U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

Experience with multiple machining disciplines including broaching and shaping
Proficient in Teamcenter, Siemens NX modelling, drafting and manufacturing and Vericut.
Knowledge of tooling systems with an emphasis on flat broaches
Understanding of machine tool construction and maintenance
Experience in statistical data analysis
Skilled in both Siemens and Fanuc controlled machines
Extensive experience in PFMEA (Process Failure Modes Effects and Analysis), Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Manufacturing Technology, Process Audits, and Design for Manufacturability/Assembly (DFM/DFA).
Knowledge and understanding of DZD (Drive to Zero Defects) and ability to lead cross functional teams of suppliers and RR personnel through this initiative.
Knowledge of FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) and Method Validation Approval (MVA) processes.

Responsibilities

Capture and analyze data to demonstrate the current and future capability of manufacturing processes in relation to component manufacturing
Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to deliver component manufacturing solutions that meet the design engineering intent
Design and oversee the procurement of tooling, fixtures and gages required for component manufacturing following established best practices and tooling design standards
Create and govern the Technical Package (technical instructions, SOPs, tooling, etc.) to clearly define the component manufacturing process
Provide technical support to Plant Operations and Maintenance
Adhere to process change management procedures via FAIRs, MVAs and technical verification
