About The Position

CACI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Orlando, FL, as part of the Optical and Photonics Systems Division. This division specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art communications systems for military, space, and commercial applications. The role requires the ability to work third shift, Friday to Monday from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in ME, EE or OE and a minimum of 3 years of experience, OR an Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in Optics Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar industrial field.
Knowledge of process control, cleanroom operation protocol, and process control for complex opto-mechanical and electro-optical assembly.
Proven technical acumen in the manufacture, test, and integration of complex product technologies and systems, DoD or Space.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment with people at all levels.
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of MIL/IPC workmanship and performance standards related to electronic assemblies (IPC-610, IPC-620, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-883, NASA Spec.).
Manufacturing Execution System experience.

Responsibilities

Lead fabrication process development, documentation, ECOs, process training, and responsibility to maintain production yield, quality, and cleanliness.
Interface with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies.
Drive cost reduction and implement the best process control to produce top-quality products for customers.
Direct support personnel in the day-to-day execution of manufacturing tasks.
Actively think and act independently to propose or translate ideas and new concepts into tangible process results.
Plan and support the build and modification of electronics systems, including procurement support, assembly method/work instructions generation, tooling design support, material/process development, facilities/equipment planning, and resolution of manufacturing, quality, and reliability issues.
