About The Position

CACI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Orlando, FL, as part of the Optical and Photonics Systems Division. This division specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art communications systems for military, space, and commercial applications. The role requires the ability to work third shift, Friday to Monday from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in ME, EE or OE and a minimum of 3 years of experience, OR an Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in Optics Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar industrial field.
  • Knowledge of process control, cleanroom operation protocol, and process control for complex opto-mechanical and electro-optical assembly.
  • Proven technical acumen in the manufacture, test, and integration of complex product technologies and systems, DoD or Space.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment with people at all levels.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of MIL/IPC workmanship and performance standards related to electronic assemblies (IPC-610, IPC-620, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-883, NASA Spec.).
  • Manufacturing Execution System experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fabrication process development, documentation, ECOs, process training, and responsibility to maintain production yield, quality, and cleanliness.
  • Interface with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies.
  • Drive cost reduction and implement the best process control to produce top-quality products for customers.
  • Direct support personnel in the day-to-day execution of manufacturing tasks.
  • Actively think and act independently to propose or translate ideas and new concepts into tangible process results.
  • Plan and support the build and modification of electronics systems, including procurement support, assembly method/work instructions generation, tooling design support, material/process development, facilities/equipment planning, and resolution of manufacturing, quality, and reliability issues.
