About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer drives Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives in a fast-paced marine manufacturing environment. This role partners cross-functionally with leadership and production teams to deliver measurable results through waste elimination, process standardization, and operational excellence. Based in Rockledge, Florida, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, influence key processes, and help scale a culture of continuous improvement using Google Workspace and other data-driven tools.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years manufacturing process engineering experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
  • Structured problem-solving and root cause thinking
  • Lean mindset with focus on flow, waste elimination, and continuous improvement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Improve workstations to reduce waste and increase flow
  • Standardize processes, layouts, and work methods
  • Support and sustain audit systems (5S, process audits)
  • Lead and champion 5S program efforts as the subject matter expert
  • Lead Kaizen events with measurable results
  • Develop Value Stream Maps to drive flow improvements
  • Create work instructions and visual aids
  • Lead CAPA investigations using RCCA methods (5 Whys, Fishbone)
  • Support capacity analysis
  • Assist with EHS, hazard identification, Safety, and PPE programs
  • Track improvement initiatives using tools such as Asana
  • Contribute to the development of our Quality program
  • Partner with leaders to align priorities and drive progress
  • Serve as a point of contact for operational issues
  • Communicate clearly and reinforce Lean principles
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to sustain improvements
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects to deliver results on time
  • Efficiently coordinate communication between key players and drive action
