About The Position

The Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Module Center Manufacturing Engineering Organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to support Hot Section Module Center South as an Airflow and Hole Drill Process Manufacturing Engineer. Technologies with this Process Engineer role include Calibrated Flow Bench, Percussion Laser Drill and Single point EDM. Process Manufacturing Engineer's responsibilities include: Track, compile, and analyze data to understand process capability for decision making and generating projects Identify & implement shop floor process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent QCPC turn backs /escapes and reduce overall assembly costs Implementation of new capital equipment from specification and ordering through delivery, installation and release to production. First Article Inspection and control of manufacturing software Significant interaction with the hourly work force, tool designers, quality assurance, Integrated Product Teams, systems designers, Information Systems, and program assembly partners are typical of the position. Help create and maintain shop floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements.) Provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks and addressing quality issues. PFMEA and Control Plan creation Participate in CORE/ lean manufacturing initiatives

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering required w/2+ years’ experience.
  • US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • GD&T, blueprint reading
  • General knowledge of NC machines, spindles, axis, drives, scales (FANUC or Siemens)
  • Technical writing, communications skills
  • Lean Manufacturing, CORE, Six Sigma, Red X, RCCA, problem solving / process control methodologies
