About The Position

Analyze and implement product and machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing process. Propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in the assigned area. Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes. Participate in project management for large projects for Transmission and Drive unit Assembly Equipment. Support prototype builds through development of the processes, tooling, and equipment all while working with product engineering to refine designs for manufacturing. Implement the production manufacturing process for new products. Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch, and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants to produce high quality parts. Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources. Participate in the development and testing of advanced process technology. Provide technical direction to and coordination of less experienced process engineers. Investigate warranty data and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat defects. Apply lessons learned to future product and process designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Maintenance Group Leader, Test Engineer, or related role.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Process engineering.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Plant floor and design for manufacturability.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Transmission and Drive Unit Bill of Equipment, Bill of Process, Bill of Sediment Elimination, and Bill of Operations.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Technical problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Failure mode and effects analysis and Control plan.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Engineering technical skills including Leak test, torque (fastening), press operations, error proofing methods, process modeling.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Design for safety, risk assessments.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Simulation, throughput analysis, theory of constraints, workload modeling.
  • Four (4) years of experience with Functional understanding of Transmission and Drive Unit operation.
