There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations. A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills, customer facing roles, and explains technical information to others. Actively participate in the day-to-day operations, daily tier process, EHS activities, process change management, and resolution of any gaps in performance. Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters. Initiates, identifies, recommends, and leads projects in the manufacturing area of responsibility to improve product safety, quality, and cost. Responsible for performing and guiding technical activities resulting from approved, self-initiated, or assigned manufacturing programs leading to innovative applications and extensions of existing or new products/technologies. Work closely with production and maintenance teams to perform troubleshooting activities, lead improvement projects, and problem-solving events and resolve equipment/downtime issues. Utilize strong communication skills to inspire, influence, motivate and teach other team members.
