GE Vernova's Steam Turbine Repairs & Upgrades operation in Schenectady, NY is one of the most technically specialized manufacturing environments in the power generation industry. When a power plant goes offline for a planned maintenance outage, the rotating components — the steam turbine rotors — come to us. Our team performs precision clean, inspect, and repair work on these critical assets, and when we find something, we own the communication back to the customer. We are hiring two Manufacturing Engineers to support this high-impact work. This is a hands-on, technically driven role where no two days look exactly alike. You will be embedded with the shop floor team, owning the engineering process from initial assessment through rotor repair, welding upgrades, and final documentation. You will interface daily with machining, balancing, quality, and project management — and your work will directly determine whether a customer's power plant gets back online safely and on time. This role is based at our 1.2-million-square-foot Schenectady facility. We want candidates who can walk in and be energized by the scale and complexity of what we do — not overwhelmed by it.
