About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer serves as the critical link between engineering design and production, ensuring that designed equipment can be fabricated, assembled, and supported throughout its operational lifecycle. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for preparing engineering designs for production and ensuring that equipment systems can be manufactured efficiently and consistently. This role works closely with engineering teams, detailers, and production personnel to transition designs from prototype development into repeatable manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer also supports prototype builds, production launches, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for equipment systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years experience in manufacturing engineering, product development, or production engineering.
  • Experience supporting fabrication and mechanical assembly processes.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and production systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience supporting prototype development and product launch.
  • Familiarity with CAD systems such as SolidWorks.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate engineering designs for manufacturability and production efficiency.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and assembly procedures for specific equipment systems.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify fabrication, assembly, and production workflows.
  • Ensure engineering documentation contains the information required for production.
  • Support prototype builds and engineering validation efforts.
  • Work with engineering teams to refine product designs prior to production.
  • Assist with transition of prototype systems into production-ready designs.
  • Support initial production runs and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Work with production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges.
  • Develop assembly procedures and work instructions for production personnel.
  • Identify tooling, fixtures, or equipment required for production processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs align with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Provide feedback during design development to improve manufacturability.
  • Coordinate with detailers to ensure drawings and documentation support production needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
  • Support engineering change implementation for design improvements.
  • Evaluate production processes to improve reliability and reduce production cost.
