The Manufacturing Engineer role in Clarksville, TN, involves operating innovative engineered systems and developing, coordinating, and implementing sustainable manufacturing production processes. This cross-functional team position focuses on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements, as well as developing and defining concepts and manufacturing processes for new product introductions and enhancements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management, Process Automation and AutoCAD or similar design software experience
  • Aptitude for mechanical/electrical application as related to equipment/processes.
  • Communication skills to articulate voice of the customer.
  • Ability to coach, advise and develop teammates and peers.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop processes for factory transformation projects and equipment implementation.
  • Improve productivity, quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, and downtime reduction.
  • Provide technical/subject matter expertise and guidance for the resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems.
  • Serve as a resource for cause/effect investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
  • Uphold manufacturing standards including: machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
  • Partner with on-site EHS to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA.
