About The Position

Productive Resources is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Davenport, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operate in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of moderate scope and responsibility or may be a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel, contractors and suppliers. This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology discipline or equivalent related work experience (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical engineering preferred).
  • Strong personal accountability, follow-through, and ability to foster a positive, engaged team environment.
  • 3 or more years of experience with manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, preventative maintenance, and facilities.
  • Experience with engineering tools and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Experience leading and implementing projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills with operators, peers, and leadership.
  • Self-motivated and able to execute with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Lead and manage small to moderate scope capital projects.
  • Establish and maintain layouts, labor standards, methods and sequence of events for assembly operations.
  • Analyze, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for current assembly operations.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas for Articulated Dump Truck assembly operations.
