Glastender, Inc., a family-owned manufacturer of bar and restaurant equipment, is accepting resumes for a Manufacturing Engineer. This position is critical in supporting the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for our fabricated sheet metal and commercial refrigeration products. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing process design, preferably in sheet metal fabrication and assembly.
- Proficiency in CAD software and strong general computer skills
- Ability to create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and precision measurement skills
- Ability to interpret blueprints, manuals, and work instructions
- Knowledge of sheet metal processes (bending, welding, laser cutting, assembly)
- Understanding of quality control, lean manufacturing, and cost optimization
- Strong math skills (geometry and trigonometry)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to evaluate solutions using logic and reasoning and incorporate feedback
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and process documentation
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation of manufacturing processes
- Manage project timelines, costs, and engineering change documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and production
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide hands-on production support
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, safety, and efficiency
- Train and support employees on manufacturing processes and best practices
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and company procedures
