The Manufacturing Engineer will utilize lean manufacturing tools to streamline operations throughout the plant by implementing changes to workstation layout, material handling, or processing. This role involves writing and reviewing standard operating procedures, developing operator training protocols, and initiating process trials to optimize cost-effectiveness and quality. The position also requires developing scorecards for quality metrics, creating daily metrics to reduce scrap and process variation, and planning improvements for operator-related scrap. The engineer will maintain a positive work atmosphere, support all shifts, and confer with various departments and external stakeholders on new product introductions. A key responsibility is auditing and improving snag/CNC processes and product quality to reduce variation and ensure process reliability. Other duties as assigned.
