About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the execution of standard operational/technical tasks, continuous improvement, and oversight of manufacturing processes related to Turbine Blade Finishing, Aluminide Coating, T800 Coating, and Braze operations. This role will ensure that all coatings and braze procedures meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards, supporting production of high-performance components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field OR high school diploma/GED and 4 years experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using relevant software tools

Responsibilities

  • Support, standardize, and improve manufacturing processes for finishing operations in the Coated Buckets cell including NDT, shotpeen, laser weld, final audit, aluminide and T800 coatings, as well as braze operations on turbine components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Materials, Maintenance, and Industrialization) to drive process improvements and resolve technical challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable industry standards, specifications, and internal quality requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including process instructions, work instructions, and control plans.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations or non-conformances.
  • Monitor and analyze process metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and training for production personnel on best practices in coating and braze operations.
  • Interface with suppliers and customers as needed to address technical requirements and resolve issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety/5S, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Participate in capital equipment selection, installation, and commissioning for coating and braze operations.
