About The Position

This Manufacturing Engineer will establish internal processes that safely ensures the production of high-quality products that meet compliance and project requirements. Drive continuous improvement across the product lines by driving lean initiatives, resolving technical/process issues, and improving cycle & cost. Second shift will be from 2:30pm-11:30pm Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college with at least 1 year of experience in Manufacturing or Engineering OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Engineering.
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift 2:30pm-11:30pm Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Lean Line MEs through partnership and thorough handovers with first shift
  • Ensuring troubleshooting on off shift to keep Lean Lines running quality product at customer required rate
  • Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and support for machinists
  • Work with Operations Leader to drive 5-whys, problem solving, operational rigor, and execution of standard work
  • Maintain and improve process documentation to ensure consistent quality
  • Support improvement efforts for across the cell for visual management, tooling, plant equipment, and safety/ergonomic solutions
  • Work with Line ME to develop & update work instructions & procedures to support operator training and process control
  • Support product qualifications as needed
  • Manage projects and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with plant metrics
  • Other duties as assigned
