The Hardware Engineering department leads in the mechanical hardware design, development, and production of weapons systems. We use state of the art tools, processes, and technology, with capabilities encompassing a broad range of technical disciplines, including product engineering, manufacturing, technical services, materials engineering, analysis and test, rapid hardware development builds and configuration and data management documentation. The Engineering Rapid Build Services (ERBS) department is chartered to deliver agile services. We bridge across Operations and Engineering, providing solutions through the execution of quick turn design, procurement, manufacturing, and environmental test services. The RHS directorate is looking for an individual to perform the role of Manufacturing Cell Lead in the Engineering Rapid Build Services organization (ERBS). This position is located on site in Marlborough, MA. What You Will Do This role requires daily interaction with other cross business teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives of achieving, exceeding cost, quality, schedule, and safety goals. These teams include project management, technical support, manufacturing and design engineering, quality, material planners, Environmental Health and Safety, and facility maintenance. Performance criteria for this position includes identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using Raytheon Technologies (RTX) CORE and lean manufacturing methodologies. This position supports deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools, and metrics to accurately measure progress, identify defects, determine root cause, and develop implement corrective action plans. In addition to the above, responsibilities include: Manpower planning, tracking and coordinating employee compliance and skills training, time and attendance tracking, area lay out and flow management, capital and tooling requirements, quality and safety audit support and customer interaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), and 5 years’ professional engineering experience.
  • 5 years of related work experience in hardware development and or production or manufacturing or operations
  • Previous team leadership experience in manufacturing, planning, scheduling, operations, or related environments
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace defense industry
  • Familiarity with Common Manufacturing Enterprise System (CMES)
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing and CORE principles.
  • Project leadership and process improvements
  • Experience supervising bargaining unit employees
