About The Position

As a 2nd shift Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide critical support to daily production operations. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and delivery performance on the production lines. This role involves active troubleshooting, rapid problem-solving, and providing technical guidance to operators to ensure manufacturing consistency. You will operate within a defined engineering framework to support production goals while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university and a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience or HS diploma/GED with 5 years of manufacturing experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Eligibility for access to U.S. export-controlled information
  • Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to 2nd shift production lines, including addressing technical issues, process troubleshooting, and providing guidance to operators to ensure adherence to standard work instructions.
  • Drive performance metrics related to Safety, Quality, and Delivery (SQD).
  • Proactively identify safety hazards and concerns from operators. Work to remove hazards immediately if possible.
  • Monitor defect trends and work within Built In Quality (BIQ) framework to identify root cause and solutions.
  • Monitor production output and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Utilize root-cause analysis techniques to investigate production issues, equipment failures, or quality escapes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Participate in Lean events and support continuous improvement projects aimed at safety improvements, defect reduction, optimizing cycle times, reducing waste, and improving process reliability.
  • Work closely with production supervisors, quality teams, and maintenance to resolve daily operational challenges and ensure a smooth shift transition.
  • Support development of new lines and processes as part of ongoing capacity growth in the plant.
