Blueshift develops cutting‑edge thermal protection and low‑dielectric material solutions that enable the next generation of aerospace, defense, and electronics systems. Our products support customers operating in some of the world’s most demanding thermal, mechanical, and RF environments, where performance, reliability, and quality are critical to mission success. This role plays a key part in supporting the transition and execution of advanced materials from development through scalable manufacturing, operating within a regulated, aerospace‑grade environment. Working cross‑functionally across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Product Development, this position contributes to establishing robust processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that Blueshift technologies meet both internal standards and customer requirements under ISO 9001 and AS9100D frameworks. The Manufacturing Engineer – Finishing is responsible for owning and optimizing finishing operations to ensure new and existing products can be produced safely, efficiently, and consistently at scale. This role focuses on translating product and material designs into stable, repeatable manufacturing processes, with hands‑on involvement in slitting, lamination, and future finishing technologies such as Zund cutting and press operations. Serving as a bridge between Product Development and Operations, the Manufacturing Engineer leads process development, yield improvement, defect reduction, and throughput optimization for finishing operations. This position combines shop‑floor execution with data‑driven engineering analysis, supporting operator training, standard work, and equipment readiness while collaborating closely with Quality to resolve nonconformances and improve process robustness. Success in this role enables Blueshift to scale new technologies into production reliably and cost‑effectively.
