About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will identify and implement manufacturing solutions that increase productivity, reduce cycle times, improve flexibility, and lower overall cost. You will lead engineering initiatives that require creativity, business acumen, and sound decision-making while partnering closely with operations to strengthen line performance and operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working cross-functionally, and turning data into actionable improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and TQM methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of process analysis, root cause investigation, and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong knowledge of Access databases and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems using appropriate methods in a timely manner.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, production, and leadership teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Preferred laser engrave experience.
  • Preferred certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Preferred ASQ CQE or CQM knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Cost Savings Initiatives. Investigate and drive projects that deliver measurable productivity and cost improvements.
  • Manage Engineering Projects. Oversee project timelines, savings delivery, and status reporting to stakeholders.
  • Optimize Manufacturing Processes. Evaluate and improve existing production methods to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Assess Tooling and Equipment Capability. Develop and evaluate processes, tooling, and machine performance.
  • Support AOP Performance. Monitor line performance and respond quickly to out-of-control conditions.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement. Facilitate Kaizen activities and drive Lean-based improvements.
  • Analyze Workflow and Material Flow. Study operational sequences to optimize business and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct Process Analysis. Perform PFMEA, statistical process control (SPC), and time and motion studies.
  • Establish Labor Standards. Create and maintain labor standards using data analysis tools.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI). Plan and facilitate implementation of new processes, product rollouts, and equipment changes.
  • Develop SOPs. Document processes and maintain manufacturing standards.
  • Train and Develop Teams. Support manufacturing associates in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
