Requirements

Ability to work 3rd shift hours Monday - Friday (10:30pm - 7am), overtime and weekends as required
1+ year of demonstrated factory support and manufacturing engineering knowledge (routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, capacity plans/line design, methods documentation, maintenance, quality plans and labor standards, troubleshooting, etc.)
Work experience in a team environment
Skills in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

Nice To Haves

Robotics experience (Fanuc and ABB)
Experience with SAP
Knowledge of DC Electric torque equipment (Atlas Copco, Panasonic, and Stanley)
Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (JDAAT, MPP, and/or AMES)
Experience with engineering CAD or 3D visualization software such as Creo
Experience with LEAN Manufacturing
Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement

Responsibilities

Provide support and troubleshooting for current 3rd shift operations
Investigate, gather, and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks
Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope
Develop and/or procure tooling and mistake proofing for new processes and/or new parts
Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) teams
Investigate product quality problems, determine root cause for quality problems, gather/analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate non-value waste resulting from non-conformances, scrap or reclaim
Use quality tools and practices to establish approval criteria to ensure the identification of quality failure concerns for both internal and external manufactured parts and assemblies
Execute John Deere Quality Control Plan where implemented
